Dr. Luis Roda Sánchez and Dr. Celia Garrido Hidalgo organized a training session for teachers and students at the Universidad Laboral and Don Bosco secondary schools in Albacete. The event was chaired by the Director of the Albacete Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering and took place on October 27, 2025. Various teachers from the IES Universidad Laboral and Don Bosco secondary schools participated, including EPIC collaborator Antonio Cano Morcillo, as well as 50 second-year students from higher education courses in Electronic Maintenance and Telecommunications and Computer Systems.

The transfer seminar is part of the “UniLAB 4.0: Smart Energy for Schools of the Future” project, in which researchers from the EPIC group are currently collaborating with both institutions to deploy open network infrastructures based on the LoRaWAN standard. This session addressed the advanced fundamentals of the LoRaWAN standard and tools for the deployment of comprehensive IIoT applications.
