The team "The FPU guys" was declared the winner of the G Hack Hackathon competition organised by Devoteam G Cloud, held on 29 March at the Google offices (Madrid). The team, made up of doctoral students Juan Carlos Alfaro Jiménez, Guillermo Tomás Fernández Martín and Pablo Torrijos Arenas, faced five challenges related to the development of cloud solutions using Google Cloud technology: Kubernetes and DevOps, machine learning, data, serverless and networking. The three members of the team are graduates in Computer Engineering from the School of Computer Engineering at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. They are currently working on their doctoral thesis in the Intelligent Systems and Data Mining Group (I3A), Doctoral Programme in Advanced Information Technologies (DSI, UCLM). They also have a scholarship for university teacher training (FPU). They participate in several competitive research projects focused on the development of machine learning algorithms and explicability.
