I graduated in Law from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) in 2012. Additionally, I received a master’s degree in Criminology and Juvenile Delinquency from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), obtaining the Extraordinary End-of-Studies Award given by that university in 2014. My academic training ended with the defense of the doctoral thesis "Legal Socialization in Adolescence: An Empirical Approach to the Spanish Context”. This thesis received a “Cum Laude” distinction and allowed me to obtain my PhD in Law from UCLM in 2017.
During my predoctoral training I have worked as a researcher at the Criminology Research Centre. Among other functions, my main job was to collect and analyze the data from the third round of the International Self-Report Delinquency Study (ISRD3), as well as to conduct observational studies in courtrooms. Currently, I am still working as a member of the Research Group on Criminology and Juvenile Delinquency of the UCLM and I am part of the research team of the fourth International Self-Report Delinquency Study (ISRD4). My research focuses on juvenile delinquency, attitudes towards the justice system, and legal socialization.
