The ERASMUS programme is one of the activities in the Lifelong Learning Programme. It enables studies to be taken at different centres to the original one providing certain requirements are met. The aim was to create and nurture European citizenship and is coordinated by means of studies made through bilateral agreements between centres (in or outside the EU). The ECTS system has enabled courses taken between the original and destination universities to be recognised. These exchange programmes give students the chance to earn a number of academic credits from their studies at any of the foreign institutions which the UCLM has a bilateral agreement with.
Moreover, there are mobility options for outgoing professors and researchers from the UCLM.
The Office of International Relations (ORI) at the UCLM is in charge of managing all international activities which concern the UCLM. With this in mind, the ORI acts as an intermediary to nurture relationships with other international higher education institutions and promotes teaching and learning opportunities abroad for the whole university community. Likewise, the ORI tries to establish different international exchange programmes for students, researchers, professors and administrative staff at the university. Since the UCLM has centres located in the different cities in the province, the ORI has an office on each of the university campuses. The Ciudad Real ORI is located in the Student House building adjoining the Faculty of Nursing whose email address isori.cr@uclm.es. All documentation needed must be requested at the ORI. Likewise, the ORI has up to date and detailed information about the Institution you are going to.
As for the procedures and requirements, the University of Castilla-La Mancha provides all necessary information on the Vice-chancellors´Office for Internationalisation website.
Apart from these procedures and general regulations, there are internal regulations at the School which has set some additional requirements for carrying out a mobility.
