In a building there can be situations of substantial risk, which threaten the health and even the life of its occupants. In these circumstances the full-scale or partial evacuation of the building is sometimes the only possible solution.
In emergency situations, fires are statistically the first cause, not only large-scale ones, but also small ones, caused by human failures in the workplace, which can lead to catastrophe putting the entire building and its occupants at risk.
But there are other causes, such as gas leaks, spills of toxic or flammable substances, bomb threats, collapse of the building structure, floods due to breakage, etc. Furthermore, we must add those derived from natural disasters, like earthquakes, etc.
It is particularly important to know and keep in mind minimum guidelines for action in case of emergency that can help us save our lives.
